About the artist
Julie Verhoeven (1969) is an artist who works in fashion. She has collaborated with brands such as Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Louis Vuitton, H & M, Versace, and Mulberry, amongst others. Her work has been widely exhibited internationally, including ICA (London) and Stedelijk Museum's - Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands).
She has been a visiting tutor on MA Fashion, Central Saint Martins since 1996. The V&A museum, London has over 100 Verhoeven drawings in their prints and drawing collection. The ICA (London) noted that: "Her drawings, sculptures, assemblages, installations and video combine a rawness, at times reminiscent of punk, with a bewildering sensuality and a strong sense of colour and texture."
