About the artwork
A limited edition silkscreen by German artist Silke Otto–Knapp exclusively for House of Voltaire. Silke Otto–Knapp (b. 1970) makes paintings of performance and landscape, approaching the canvas as a stage as well as a site of orchestrated scenarios. Her scenes, rendered in gouache and watercolour, express a fugitive beauty. Delicate layers imbue the works with an ethereal magic.
