About the edition

Studio Voltaire is pleased to launch an exclusive new edition by Aaron Angell. Based on Tomi Ungerers book ’The Joy of Frogs', a collection of humorous cartoons featuring frogs in positions that the Karma Sutra has never even thought of. The edition of ten frogs have been hand crafted in Aaron's London Studio Troy Town Art Pottery.  Aaron works primarily with ceramics, producing sculptural tableaux referencing hobbyist cultures, naturalistic forms, and the underground hand built ceramics of Britain from the 1970s and 80s.  Each edition is unique and crafted from puisaye stoneware with pine ash and a variety of coloured glazes including a blue magnesium glaze, off-white shino glaze, dark temmoku glaze and a matte cream nuka glaze.
