About the artwork

We have released a very special selection of previously sold out editions from the House of Voltaire archive. With exclusive works from a number of international artists, this is the very final time that these editions will be available to purchase. Studio Voltaire is a registered arts and education charity with all sales directly supporting our exhibition, learning and studio programmes.

Specially commissioned for Studio Voltaire, Vase with Serpents is a hypothetical design for an ornamental vase, realised as a copperplate etching and individually hand tinted by the artist. The print is inspired by Stefano della Bella, a 17th century Italian draughtsman and engraver known for his particularly diminutive work and continues a common thread in Bronstein's work of hypothetical designs for domestic and architecturally influenced items including doors, fireplaces, keyholes.
