About the Artist

Enrico David (b. 1966, Ancona, Italy) lives and works in London and Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions include: Gradations of Slow Release, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC (2019); Michael Werner Gallery, New York (2018); Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (2018): Blum & Poe, Los Angeles (2018); Michael Werner Gallery, London (2017); Casa Masaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno (2017); Sharjah Art Foundation, Sharjah (2016): Lismore Castle, Lismore (2016); The Hepworth Wakefield, West Yorkshire (2015); Reggio Emilia, Maramotti Collection (2015); and Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2014). The artist was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2009. David took a studio at Studio Voltaire in 2009 while he prepared for How Do You Love Dzzzzt by Mammy? at Museum Für Gegenwartskunst, Basel. The artist is represented by Michael Werner Gallery, London/ New York.
