About the artist
Thea Djordjadze (b. 1971, Georgia) lives and works in Cologne. The artist studied under Rosemarie Trockel and has a growing reputation within Europe as an important emerging voice within contemporary sculptural practice. Recent exhibitions include One Is So Public, And The Other, So Private. Kunstmuseum Winterthur, Switzerland (2019); If I Were An Early Person, Sprüth Magers Los Angeles (2019); Portikus, Frankfurt (2018); Pinakothek Der Moderne, Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, München (2018); To Be In An Upright Position On The Feet, Secession Wien, Vienna (2016); Listening The Pressure That Surrounds You, Sprüth Magers, Berlin (2016); Moma Ps1 (2016).
The artist is represented by Sprueth Magers, Munich/Cologne/London and Micky Schubert, Berlin.
Studio Voltaire has been supporting artists for over twenty years, through our renowned programme of exhibitions, performances, events and education projects as well as providing affordable studios.
