About the artist

Ana Ogunsanya is an Afro- British designer, maker & educator based in London, she studied fashion design (womenswear) at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art.

After years of working as a designer and product developer, Ana longed for the freedom of creating independent work. In 2018 she took the plunge and decided to explore other mediums within the art and craft world. That same year she did an artist residency in Mexico, which proved to be of great significance.

Upon returning to London, Ana embarked on a few short courses to help enhance her creativity, and to build a stronger understanding in various techniques. Although she’s at the very early stage of a new journey, Ana aims to expand and create a range of products which will be manufactured and sold from England, contributing to the UK craft sector.

Ana’s inspiration comes from her continuous research on a variety of topics such as Afrofemcentrism, Modern art, Pop art and Abstract expressionism.

With each product Ana creates they should be used, loved, and desired, with the aim to bring enjoyment as a decorative object or a piece of art.

House of Voltaire commissions and sells unique artworks, limited edition prints and specially–commissioned homewares, objects, clothing and accessories by world–renowned contemporary artists and designers.
