About the artwork
For her Studio Voltaire edition, Channer has produced a series of works using the surface of pleather, a plastic leather substitute, as her imprint over hand marbled paper. Each individual work is slightly unique due to nature of production.
About the artist
Alice Channer has attracted national and international critical interest for her sculptures and textile works that explore the relationship between the human body, personal adornment, materials and sculpture. Using techniques associated with fashion and textiles – pleating, folding, cutting and draping – and often incorporating materials from high and low fashion.
