    About The Artwork

    Known for their ethereal paintings; Andrew Sim utilises recurring motifs of trees, rainbows, stars and various mythological creatures to folkloric effect, dreamily symbolising queer experience, community and evolution. For works on paper Sim joins sheets of A4 together and tapes this ‘canvas’ to the wall to work on with pastels. There is an unprecious practicality to this process where tape marks, wrinkles and tears become a part of the artwork. In this edition, these elements remain visible, highlighting the materiality of Sim’s process.
