Fisting Frogs, 2019

Keith Boadwee is best known for his homoerotic photographic self-portraits, and performative enema paintings when he came to prominence in the 1990's LA scene. In more recent s a facet of his ongoing practice, Boadwee produces paintings and drawings of several cartoon-like animals, including dogs, fish, cats and frogs. A number of the paintings feature some what inane activities such as a fish smoking a cigarette, while others, such as this drawing, are seemingly more transgressive and bodily.
