About the Work

Glass tumblers made from durable pyrex glass, which makes them heat and scratch resistant and suitable to put in the dishwasher or oven. This range of glassware uses the so called ‘incalmo’ technique, in which different coloured pieces or bands of colour are heated up and fused together. Each design comes in various colour combinations, which makes each one playful and unique.

About the Artist

Jochen Holz is a London-based glassmaker. Specialised in lampworking technique, Holz transforms the prefabricated glass tubes into one-off glassware, bespoke objects, jewellery, and neon pieces. By letting the process of the making play a central role in his practice, a high level of spontaneous decisions and intuition are present in his design.
