About the product

These limited edition t–shirts for House of Voltaire revisit clothing featuring tabloid headlines Deller produced for Covent Garden’s Sign of the Times shop, a locus of London’s demimonde in the early 1990s, whilst the artist was working there as a shop assistant.  

About the artist

Jeremy Deller’s multi-faceted practice incorporates forms of social investigation and archival research, often celebrating British popular and vernacular culture. Previous works and projects have referenced a wide range of cultural figures including Bryan Ferry, Bruce Lacey, William Morris, Prince Harry and Adrian Street.

Recent solo exhibitions and projects include Tate Britain, London (2017); The Salisbury Museum, Salisbury (2017); Royal Academy of Arts, London (2017); Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester (2017); MARCO, Vigo (2017); Galerie Rudolfinum, Prague (2017); Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival, Various, Florence (2017); Fotomuseum, Winterthur (2017); MARTA Museum of Art & Design, Herford (2017): MUCA, Mexico City (2015), Turner Contemporary, Margate (2014), Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC (2014) and Weils Centre for Contemporary Art, Brussels (2012). The artist represented Britain in the Venice Biennale in 2013 and won the Turner Prize in 2004.
