Blown Glass Handled vase

Specialising in the technique of lamp working, where hot glass is manipulated over an open flame, Jochen Holz is one of the very few glass artists practising this type of glass blowing in Britain. This Penguin vase is produced by blowing two colours together. Holz’s design approach is guided by the process of making, and the skill of controlling the flow of hot glass. Each colour is free-blown in borosilicate – a heat resistant and durable glass.
