About the artwork
A limited edition lambswool blanket by John Booth, exclusively for House of Voltaire. Each blanket is made in Scotland from 100% superfine lambswool using jacquard knit. This double–sided knitting style achieves a design–rich finish; the front of the blanket showcases the artist’s design, while a birdseye pattern, driven by the technique, is achieved on the underside. The blanket has a luxurious, heavyweight feel.
This special edition formed part of The Artist's Bedroom by John Booth for House of Voltaire at Matches Fashion, Mayfair.
For this special project, Booth created an immersive installation of his dream teenage bedroom, including a unique hand–painted bed, ceramic side tables, and portrait vases, limited edition woollen floor rugs, printed cushion covers and a screen-printed mirror. All sales support Studio Voltaire's innovative gallery and education programmes.
