About the edition
Made from 100% superfine lambswool in a Jacquard knit technique by artist Jonas Wood. This double-sided knitting style achieves a design rich finish. The front face of the blanket showcases the artist’s design, whilst a birdseye pattern, driven by the knitting style is achieved on the underside. The blanket has a noticeably soft handle and luxurious heavyweight feel, perfect for those cold winter nights.
About the artist
Jonas Wood (b. 1977, Boston, Massachusetts) is a contemporary American painter, who paints large scale works of interior scenes, still-life and landscapes. Through his partially abstract painting technique, Wood uses overlapping colour and form to flatten out interludes of space within his intricate compositions.
Recent exhibitions include Jonas Wood. Gagosian Gallery, Britannia Street, London, England (2015); Shio Kusaka and Jonas Wood. Karma, New York, NY (2015); David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2014); ‘Clippings’, Lever House, New York, NY (2013); Anton Kern Gallery, New York, NY (2013); David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2012); Prints.
