A unique hand-painted lampshade from Glasgow-based artist Hayley Tompkins. A painter in an unconventional sense, Tompkins has taken a quotidian object and re-configured the lampshade as a playful, painterly gesture in the theatre of the domestic.
About the artist
Hayley Tompkins (b. 1971, Leighton, Buzzard) lives and works in Glasgow. Her work was included in Watercolour, at Tate Britain, London (2011).
