About the object

New to House of Voltaire are these handmade salt and pepper mills. The pair contains one light-toned English Sycamore salt mill and one dark-toned Black Walnut pepper mill. Each one is turned on a lathe and given a hand-carved ripple texture over the entire surface. Each mill is fitted with a quality Crush Grind mechanisms which not only allow you to adjust the grain-size but also use ceramic parts which won't rust when in contact with salt or moisture, making them longer lasting than other mechanisms.

About the maker

Forge Creative is the partnership of designer-makers Josh Kennard and Oliver Milne. They founded the company in 2013 with an ambition to put their creative skills to something meaningful. Driven not by money but the goal of fulfilment in a day to day job. Since then Josh and Oli have built a portfolio of commissioned projects and have developed their own range of furniture and products that they continue to add to.

With an emphasis on inspired design, stunning materials (responsibly sourced) and superior hand-crafted products, each object and piece of furniture is hand crafted in their workshop in Sussex.
