The design features strings and round baubles in a simplistic, sketch-like style. Crafted using traditional weaving methods, this limited edition cashmere blanket is partially folded at one corner to showcase its texture and thickness.

    About The Artwork

    Exclusive to House of Voltaire, Weyant’s first-ever limited edition blanket features a somewhat incongruous still-life composition made up of party balloons, shiny ribbons and plump linked sausages. Echoing the artist’s drawing practices, particular yarn colours have been utilised by the artist to evoke the nature and feeling in her drawings. Anna Weyant predominately explores figuration and still-life with the medium of painting and drawing. In her crystalline still-life compositions, everyday objects adopt an uncanny, portentous air. Working closely with a small, specialist studio in England, using 100% superfine cashmere, this edition has been produced by master craftspeople. The double-sided knitting technique achieves a design-rich finish, with the front face of the blanket showcasing the artwork, and a birds-eye pattern on the underside. The blanket has a noticeably soft handle and luxurious heavyweight feel. This edition has been made exclusively to support Studio Voltaire’s artistic and public programmes. Your order will be placed with the weaver and dispatch will be confirmed via email.
