House of Voltaire was first established in 2010 to fundraise for leading arts and education charity Studio Voltaire's world-renowned artistic and public programmes. Influenced by the Bloomsbury Group’s Omega Workshops, Keith Haring’s Pop Shop and traditional Mayfair ateliers, items on sale are one-of-a-kind or limited edition, and most are exclusive to House of Voltaire.

Collaborating with over 250 artists, designers and makers, House of Voltaire has occurred biennially as a temporary store in Mayfair, had international presentations in Miami and Melbourne, and hosted special projects, including Jeremy Deller's ‘Fuck Brexit’ and John Booth's ‘The Artists' Bedroom’. In 2021, House of Voltaire opened its first permanent store at Studio Voltaire in London - showcasing a constantly changing collection of unique artworks and print editions alongside artist-designed clothing, homewares and objects.
