About The Artwork
The artist has interpreted the packing tape design from an endless image drawn on an oil flask which dates from 550-530 BC and conserved at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, attributed to the painter Amasis. Here Rodzielski is inviting the user of the packing tape to treat it like a movie roll that still has to be cut.
About Clément Rodzielski
Clement Rodzielski queries the original meaning of images through their channels of distribution and reproduction. Exploring duplication and re-presentation, the artist poses a reflection of the tumult of images from visual communication.
