    About The Artwork

Boadwee has been painting cats, frogs, dogs, and fish extensively over the last decade. This work is one of many results of the artist's self-imposed schedule of creating one painting per day, a tireless practice which frees him from internal doubt in his broader practice.

    About Keith Boadwee

Keith Boadwee (b.1961) is an American artist well-known for his humorous, homoerotic self-portraits and unique paintings, of which he creates one each day. Boadwee’s work engages critically with art history through his unique sense of crude humour and dedication to artistic practice.

Boadwee has shown with institutions and galleries, including MoMA PS1, New York City; Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach; New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York City; La Biennale di Venezia, Venice; Salzburger Kunstverein, Salzburg; White Columns, New York City, and KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin.
