    About The Artwork

Celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2024, Studio Voltaire has invited many major artists to revisit and reimagine some of their previous House of Voltaire releases for our “Greatest Hits”. Shaw has produced a new design exclusive to House of Voltaire within his incredibly popular Plastic Baroque family of objects. Entirely unique in design and form, James Shaw’s Candelabra alludes to the forms of the baroque era and is created using waste plastics in an assortment of pastel hues. A lesson in functional art, each of Shaw’s handmade creations brings out the beauty and excitement of the waste material, transforming it into something of lasting interest and value.
