    About The Artwork

    Each tealight holder is entirely unique, made intuitively using a combination of glazes that are improvised, off the shelf and from recipes. Each has an indent to hold a tealight.

    About Laura Aldridge

    Laura Aldridge (b. 1978) is a Scottish artist known for her unique ceramics and multimedia installation work. Making use of fabric, images, and found objects, Aldridge refers to her installation practice as an ‘expanded collage’.

    She has exhibited extensively with institutions such as Paris Internationale; Paris, Tramway, Glasgow; Studio Voltaire, London; Kunsthall Stavanger, Stavanger; Biennale of Contemporary Art Brno, Brno; White Columns, New York; Infernoesque, Berlin; and Glasgow International, Glasgow. Her work is held in many private collections, including the British Council Collection.

    Aldridge is represented by Kendall Koppe.
