About David Shrigley
David Shrigley (b. 1968) is a British artist well-known for his satirical, upbeat illustrations, engaged with everyday life and absurd human interactions. Widening audiences and creating accessible art is central to Shrigley’s practice - operating beyond the gallery, he frequently collaborates with designers, musicians, restaurants and publishers.
Shrigley has exhibited internationally and is held in several permanent collections of prestigious institutions such as Tate, London; Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh; Museum of Modern Art, New York City; Centre d’Art Santa Mònica, Barcelona; Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, White Columns, New York City and Tramway, Glasgow.
Shrigley is represented by Anton Kern, Stephen Friedman, BQ Berlin, Nicolai Wallner and Pew Literary.
