This edition has been specially made for House of Voltaire by Glasgow-based artist Michael Fullerton. Here, the artist has worked with a cosmetics advertisement featuring legendary model Karen Graham, the original spokesmodel for Estée Lauder. This work is situated within the artist's long-standing interest in the portraiture of pioneering women.
About Michael Fullerton
Michael Fullerton (b. 1971) is a Scottish artist based in London. Uniquely political in his choice of subjects, Fullerton is best known for his portraiture of pioneering women and radical political figures. He has shown widely with galleries and institutions such as Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh; Tate Britain, London; Graves Museum, Sheffield; Chisenhale Gallery, London; Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, and Greene Naftali Gallery, New York City.
Fullerton is represented by Greene Naftali.
