    About The Artwork

This limited-edition porcelain tea set draws on the parallels between the Argentinian artist’s drawing practice and the early 18th-century patterns of Royal Worcester. Each set is made in the traditional home of British porcelain, Stoke-on-Trent, and accompanied by a new maté verbena blend created by Postcard Teas - London's Finest Tea Shop. Blended with verbena, Maté, a caffeinated South American leaf, brings together South American and European tea traditions. Torcida, meaning ‘bended’ or more literally ‘twisted’ in English, references Argentinian counterculture, where the language of the tea ceremony has been used as a form of queer code. The set comprises one teapot, two cups and saucers and one tin of Yerba Torcida tea. These tea-sets are made to order with an approximate lead time of 4 weeks.
