About The Artwork
Throughout Kalu’s practice the physical connection to her work whilst making is crucial. Working across sculpture, installation and drawing, the artist responds to the rhythm and noise of creating, the whole process becomes fully immersive and determines the shape, style and nature of each piece. Kalu's drawing process involves working on multiple drawings simultaneously, creating sets of related drawings. Kalu's drawings are represented in a number of important collections including Tate Collection, Arts Council Collection and Martin and Rebecca Eisenberg Collection. For House of Voltaire, Kalu has produced a set of limited edition prints based on a pair of drawings. This edition comes with a certificate of authenticity.
