    About The Artwork

    Responding to the sound, rhythm and movement of creating, Nnena Kalu’s immersion in the physical process of making determines the shape, style and nature of each piece, be it sculpture, installation or drawing. Kalu's drawing process involves working across multiple sheets of paper simultaneously, creating sets of nuanced, related drawings which bear a striking similarity but contain infinite subtle differences under close scrutiny. Kalu's work is represented in a number of important collections including Tate Collection, Arts Council Collection and Martin and Rebecca Eisenberg Collection. For Kalu’s second limited edition for House of Voltaire, she has produced a diptych based on a pair of drawings from 2026. This edition comes with a certificate of authenticity.
