About Linder
Linder (b.1954), also known as Linder Sterling, is a contemporary British artist widely known for her radical feminist photomontage and performance. She was a known figure in the Punk movement, fronting the band Ludus and working with musicians such as Morrissey, Buzzcocks, and The Smiths.
Linder has exhibited extensively with institutions such as Kettle’s Yard; Cambridge; Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Paris; Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; MoMA PS1, New York City, and Tate Britain, London. Her work is held in several public collections, including the Arts Council Collection, London; Museum of Modern Art, New York City; and Kadist Art Foundation, Paris.
Linder is represented by Modern Art, dépendance, and Blum & Poe.
