About The Artwork
Exclusive to House of Voltaire, this edition is a made-to-order. 100% superfine cashmere blanket byartist Rose Wylie and produced by master Scottish craftspeople. The double-sided knitting technique achieves a design-rich finish, with the front face of the blanket showcasing Wylie's artwork, and a birds-eye pattern on the underside. The blanket has a noticeably soft handle and luxurious heavyweight feel. Please contact us if you require a blanket by a specific date, some are available for immediate dispatch. Production can take up to twelve weeks. Your order will be placed with the weaver and dispatch will be confirmed via email.
About Rose Wylie
British artist Rose Wylie (b. 1934) is known for her large-scale paintings in a signature spontaneous style, drawing from film, fashion photography, newspaper imagery and literature. Wiley paints colourful, exuberant compositions that are uniquely recognisable.
She has exhibited internationally, and her work is found in prominent collections throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, including the Arario Museum, Seoul; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC; Space K, Seoul; Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg, Germany; Tate, London; and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
In 2018, she was awarded an OBE for her services in the arts. Wylie is represented by David Zwirner.
