About The Artwork
Described by Trockel as depicting her torn between human and animal, this work in particular is a vivid example of the artist's interest in exploring ideas of gender and domestic space. Wearing Propaganda revisits a 1996 piece by the artist, currently held in the Kunsthalle Hamburg. It is taken from a series of three - this edition in particular features a uniquely added Lacoste sticker. The previous edition was included in the artist's solo exhibition at the New Museum, New York and Serpentine Gallery, London. With special thanks to the artist and Sprüth Magers, Berlin/London.
