    This limited edition print was derived from Calero's 2018 painting of the same name, exploring the cultural stereotypes of which Calero become highly aware as a trans-national artist working in many countries and cultures.

    About Sol Calero

    Sol Calero (b. 1982) is a Berlin-based Venezuelan artist well-known for her bold, vibrant paintings and immersive installations. Calero’s work draws deeply from her Latin American heritage, challenging eurocolonial cultural tropes and offering visions for creative futures outside of European artistic influences.

    She has exhibited widely throughout Europe with institutions such as KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; Tate, Liverpool; Kiasma Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki; Berlin Art Week, Berlin; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Copenhagen Contemporary, Copenhagen; Kunsthalle Lissabon, Lisbon; Folkestone Triennial, Folkestone; and Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin.
